Welcome Weary Traveler!
Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church of Martin, TN is a haven of rest for the weary Christian traveler's soul. Like the cities of refuge in Old Testament times, Macedonia is a place of safety and rest in a world full of restless religion.
Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church is a true New Testament Church of Jesus Christ, and we humbly stand on the foundation of God's Sovereign Grace! We preach and teach that eternal salvation comes to the poor weary sinner through the imputed righteousness of Christ, and Him alone! We also teach that since God has called us out of darkness into His light, we should live our lives for Him, not for our own honor, but that He might be praised!
At Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church we have a God honoring, family-integrated, worship services. From the very least to the greatest, young or old, all are welcome who want to attend. Our worship is very simple, yet a joy to take part in. Our services consist of praise, prayer, and preaching. These are the same basic things that took place in the first century church of the Bible, and they still take place today at Macedonia.
Macedonia Church meets every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM for our regular worship service, and on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM for fellowship and Bible study. We also have Lunch together on the 3rd Sunday of each month after our service. So please come and join us, we would be honored to have you as our guest!
May God bless you,
Elder David Scarbrough, Pastor
Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. (Jeremiah 6:16)
It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.
He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.
He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.
For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
